What's New in Bathroom Design for 2019?

Bathroom design is constantly changing, so we wanted to keep you in the loop with emerging new trends that we are noticing here in Cirencester, and the Cotswolds.

We will always try and accommodate the vision of our Cirencester clients – but we also love it when people come to us with a theme, but a need for some creative inspiration.

What’s new in the bathroom design world can be trends that have been lingering for a while and have suddenly become a fashionable theme or a look that is classic. Whatever the style is you are looking for, well designed and innovative should be a priority when it comes to your bathroom.

That is something that our designers always achieve.

Exceptional quality in a new bathroom goes without saying, but a longstanding aesthetic takes a plethora of considerations. Tiles, taps, pipe work, sanitary wear, lighting – there are so many choices now and so many ways to make a bathroom much more than ‘just’ a bathroom.

Fish Scale Tiles.

Tile trend alert! These exquisite tiles are a real showstopper, giving the illusion of fish scales; they are used as a feature wall space in showers to give the bathroom a pop of colour and fresh feel.

We love to design a bathroom that is a little unusual, and this fish scale tile trend has become a favourite bathroom feature with our Cotswold clients.

Our favourites are:

Topps Tiles (click here for link) at £83.17 per msq they are fairly reasonable for these snazzy tiles.

Fired Earth do the fish scale tiles in a metallic gold which are heavenly (click here) at £149.43 pm sq.

(If tiling your shower with these seems excessive and you are not ready for a complete overhaul in your bathroom, a sink splash-back would be a subtle touch and easy to achieve for a quick spruce. We have expert tilers to hand.)

Raw Stone Sinks

Raw stone sinks are the perfect addition for the paired back and more natural look.  These raw granite or marble stone sinks are quite elegant when designed to fit a modern rustic bathroom. It’s a hard one to visualise so here are some of our favourite examples:

These sinks are not hard to source, just tricky to install (due to the extreme weight).

How much will a new bathroom cost?

Understandably this is a common question – but unfortunately it is not a simple one to answer. Much like answering ‘how long is a piece of string’ there are many aspects to consider, such as:

-       Is it a wet room? This will require tanking the room.

-       Under floor heating

-       The type of tiles you would like (as the price difference shows with the fish scale tiles mentioned above)

-       The type and brand of brass wear/sanitary wear you would like

-       What pipe work will need doing

We will put together a transparent quote once your design needs are discussed and talk the design costs through with you.

We now offer competitive finance to help spread the cost, please enquire here if you would like to know more.
