Leading as the Renewable Energy experts in Cirencester, Gloucestershire - CP Jefferies now offer air source heat pump installations, as a service. We work to provide your home with the most energy efficient heater, by installing the leading renewable heating systems available in the UK.

Infact, we have been shortlisted for our ASHP installs by the National Energy Efficiency Awards 2019 - we will update the website with the final result. It is lovely to be recognised for Air Source Heat Pumps, it is such an important category for us.

There are many options to choose, which is why we have a Cirencester renewable energy operations manager available to advise you as to what will work best as a energy efficient heater, within your Gloucestershire home.

What is an Air Source Heat Pump exactly?

Essentially, the air source heat pump works a bit like a refrigerator in reverse.

An air source heat pump is usually placed at the side or back of a property. It takes heat from the air and boosts it to a higher temperature using a heat pump.

By optimising the use of renewable technology, for every kilowatt of energy consumed, 3 kilowatts is produced. This means 300% efficiency.

The unit absorbs heat from the outside air and converts it to useable energy which is transferred to your properties heat emitters, and or hot water cylinder.

There are incentive schemes available, if your property passes the necessary requirements.

It is important that your current heating systems are designed to achieve the highest SCOP (seasonal coverage of performance), to make you eligible for the Governments Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme.

Air Source Heat Pump Cost

If you would like to book a meeting with our Cirencester renewable energy specialist, he can talk you through it and you'll see how much you could potentially save by replacing your existing system with an air source heat pump.

We are also certified by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) which certifies that it is intelligent tech that produces heat from a renewable energy source.

This is a key requirement when applying for payments from the Governments Renewable Heat Incentive (see below).

Renewable Heat Incentive

What is it?

The Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (Domestic RHI) is a government financial incentive to promote the use of renewable heat. Switching to heating systems that use naturally replenished energy can help the UK reduce its Carbon Emissions.
People who join the scheme and stick to its rules receive quarterly payments for the seven years for the amount of clean, green renewable heat their system produces.

Who's it for?

The scheme's open to anyone who can meet the joining requirements. It's for the households both off and on the gas grid.
People off mains gas have the most potential to save on fuel bills and reduce carbon emissions.

The Domestic RHI

Key to joining is that the renewable heating system heats only a single property which is capable of getting a domestic Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The EPC is the proof we need that your property is assessed as a domestic ‘dwelling’. Without one, you won’t be able to apply and can’t join the scheme.
An EPC gives information about a property’s energy use, plus recommendations on how to reduce energy and save money. It’s required every time you buy, sell or rent a property. It’s included as part of a Green Deal Assessment, which is a requirement for most to join the Domestic RHI.
